Privacy policy
How Renlex Pty Ltd handles personal information, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
In short: we collect only what you send us, use it to respond to you and deliver agreed work, do not sell it, and will show you or correct what we hold on request.
1. About this policy
This policy explains how Renlex Pty Ltd (ABN 82 703 579 542, ACN 703 579 542) ("Renlex", "we", "us") collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy applies to this website, renlextec.online, and to our dealings with clients and enquirers.
2. What we collect
We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our business activities. This may include:
- your name, email address and organisation name;
- the content of any message or enquiry you send us;
- information you provide during an engagement, such as documents, schedules or contact lists needed to carry out agreed work;
- billing details needed to issue invoices and record payments.
We do not ask for sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act). If you include it in material you send us, we will handle it only for the purpose you provided it and with the protections the APPs require.
You may contact us without giving your full name where that is practicable (APP 2), although we may not be able to deliver services anonymously.
3. How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you, for example when you email us, use the enquiry form on our contact page (which opens your own email program) or provide information during an engagement. If a client gives us information about other people to carry out agreed work, the client is responsible for having the right to share it.
4. How we use it
We use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and prepare written scopes and quotes;
- deliver the consulting, administration and project support you have engaged us for;
- issue invoices and keep business records;
- meet our legal and tax obligations.
We do not use your information for direct marketing without your consent, and you can opt out of any communication at any time by emailing us. We do not sell personal information.
5. Disclosure
We may disclose personal information to service providers who help us run the business, such as our website host, email provider, file storage and accounting software, and to professional advisers. We disclose information only as needed for those services, or where the law requires or permits it.
6. Overseas storage
Some of our service providers, including website hosting and email services, may store or process data on servers located outside Australia. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps under APP 8 to make sure those providers handle the information consistently with the APPs.
7. Cookies
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not run tracking scripts. Our hosting provider may record standard technical information, such as IP addresses and request times, in server logs for security and reliability. We do not use this information to identify individual visitors.
8. Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including access-controlled accounts and secure storage. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law (for example, tax records), and then securely delete or de-identify it.
9. Access and correction
Under APPs 12 and 13 you may ask for access to the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. Email us at ceo@renlextec.online. We will respond within a reasonable period, normally 30 days. If we refuse a request, we will explain why in writing.
10. Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please email ceo@renlextec.online with the details. We will acknowledge your complaint, look into it and give you a written response.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with its revision date.
